How community-goal rewards work on BigFan

Community goals give every supporter the same outcome to work toward. You choose the dates, set one clear target, and publish the reward that unlocks when the community reaches it.

Why one clear target?

Supporters should know exactly what the campaign is working toward. One target keeps the progress bar, reward promise, and final result easy to understand.

Campaign target

The eligible net support required before everyone in the campaign can claim.

Start and end dates

Creator-selected complete UTC dates. A campaign can run for up to one year and never repeats automatically.

The three setup decisions

1

Reward

Describe exactly what every supporter who joins the goal will receive.

2

Period

Choose the complete UTC start and end dates. Campaigns can run for up to one year.

3

Target

Set one whole-number target in the creator page currency.

Check the numbers before you publish

BigFan shows the fee split before publication. Compare your expected creator share at the target with what the reward will cost you to provide.

Example: with a €100 target and a 60% creator share, the creator share at the target is €60 before refunds, disputes, and taxes. A digital pack that costs €20 to produce has more room than a live event costing €90.

What supporters see and accept

The public card shows the reward, goal progress, target, UTC deadline, refund treatment, and creator responsibility. Joining requires a separate campaign-terms acknowledgement before Stripe Checkout. Ordinary leaderboard disclosure remains separate.

Provisional does not mean final

At the UTC deadline, the campaign enters a review window. Refunds and open or lost disputes change eligible support. BigFan freezes the final result. The creator cannot change it. If the target is reached, the claim window opens.

Recovery and private claims

After verified payment, supporters receive a one-time recovery code to copy or download. BigFan stores only its secure hash. A claim can be opened with that code or the original browser cookie. Public anonymity remains unchanged. A delivery email is collected only after separate consent, encrypted, verified, access-audited, and later deleted.

The creator owns fulfilment

The creator funds and supplies the published reward. Its terms cannot be edited after publication. BigFan can pause a campaign, review a result, and suspend a risky claim without erasing the creator’s existing reward duties.

Publish only when all four are true

  1. 1The target is realistic for the selected dates.
  2. 2You can provide the reward to every supporter who joins.
  3. 3The reward is affordable at the campaign target.
  4. 4You have reviewed the exact public preview and campaign terms.
